According to reports published in the New York Times, Facebook is planning to integrate all its Messaging services from Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram.

The main motive is to allow users to send messages to different platforms using only one platform. Facebook is determining how it will impact the users as Facebook is going through the major reforms related to data handling of its users.

According to reports the integration process is still in its early stages and might complete by the end of 2019 or early next year.

How It Works

Like if you have a Whatsapp account, but not an Instagram account, you could be able to send someone a  message via your WhatsApp account without switching the app or creating a new account on Instagram.

Ultimately Advertisers might get the benefitted because a unified messaging platform that would make it manageable for the brands to reach a large base of customers by using only one platform.

It will eventually increase the user engagement across all Facebook’s messaging ecosystem and bring the business into ease.
